Highlighted Artists - Timbalín the Clown & Alexius the Illusionist

Two in one. Alex Acosta shows his artistic ability as he changes between an accomplished clown specializing in comedy magic to the developing personality of Alexius the Illusionist.

It all started when he was just a young boy watching a magician on television. He was so taken by this magician that he could not sleep that night. All he could think about was, “How did that magician pull the handkerchief out of thin air?” Unseen by the human eye, this illusionist brought this simple little handkerchief back to reality – fantasy to reality. Some time later, Alexius got involved with the circus through the comic side of the art, eventually developing his own show for different family events, large festivals and stage events for large crowds of people throughout his travels. On these travels, he actually met the magician that he had seen on television years prior, in person, and his love for the illusionistic art was reborn.

Over time and consistent practice, Alexius became the magician he is today. With a little imagination, all things can become possible. Magic is an art. These illusions arouse curiosity in the viewer. They’re not intended to deceive, but rather to entertain through the art of illusion. Come see Alexius the Illusionist and let his love for this art pour into you and build your curiosity about making the impossible, possible…the unseen, seen…and the fantasy, a reality. When he was five years of age Timbalín saw a clown for the first time, and it scared him quite a bit. He didn´t want to see clowns again in his life. It was terrible.
“If you don´t laugh, then you´ve already forgotten your childhood.” Timbalín the Clown'

As time went on, he continued to see clowns. He didn´t like to see them because their face makeup was very exaggerated. They had large eyes and always shouted at the children. At 12 years of age, a cousin asked the adolescent to work with him, HIM being a clown. Young Timbalín thought, “ok, since it´s my cousin, and I know my cousin, I will help him by putting on characters for his shows.” Later on, a friend from the circus took the would-be clown to work with him in the circus and the story changed. It turned out that Timbalín ended up being a professional clown in the circus and spent years working in these shows, events, and other productions to this day. He´s Timbalín the clown and he doesn´t intend to make fun of himself. The only thing that he wishes is to help other have fun and experience happy moments.
